Faith and Endurance: Running the Race

Creating Dreams. Achieving Goals. Trusting God

About June 2, 2010

This blog is about my journey to become a healthier me. I will be sharing my experience with you as I condition myself to become a runner for the first time, as I also try to achieve my weight loss goals and strengthen my faith in myself and God. I know so many people struggle as well as I do with fitness and health. I hope you will join me on this journey, and feel free to add some input, advice or Scripture. What you say is important to me. I can use all the prayers and support I can get through this. I’m also using this as accountability for myself to keep at it. Now that I have readers, I know I can’t quit.

“Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. They then do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.” -1 Corinthians 9:24-27

I think an about page would be really useful on this site. Interesting progress – keep it going!
